The fund’s mission is to carry out its charitable activities for disabled, orphaned / abandoned children and also people below the poverty line, providing them with medical, educational and subsistence assistance to raise them in their lives towards life. self-sufficiency regardless of age, caste, creed or community.
The Trust’s president, Mr. R. Lawrence, director, actor and choreographer well known in the southern film industry is a renowned person who is dedicated to social work activities to elevate people with social, economic and physical disabilities below poverty line and he worked tirelessly providing various aids to achieve the Trust’s objectives.

House for the disabled
Trust established a shelter in Valasaravakkam, Chennai, for 40 people with disabilities below the poverty line. Trust takes care of your food, shelter, medical expenses, school fees for your daily survival and rehabilitation.
R. Lawrence identified such talents among young people with physical disabilities below the poverty line, who sought him out for help. He took a keen interest in the Lawrence Charitable Trust to develop his talent and increase his self-confidence. He trained them in dance since 2005. He also provided residential support and rehabilitation for young people and turned his house into a fund, for the same cause.
The Foundation provided educational support to 19 people with disabilities who attended various courses, namely, MSc. I.T., B.E., B.Com. And BSc., Computer Science, paying tuition/college fees and other needs needed for higher education.
The Foundation provided livelihood support to several people with disabilities in remote villages in Tamil Nadu.
